The Chinese Call it "The Stone Of Heaven" Known by the Ancient Chinese to be a stone signifying longevity, health and wealth it was also used as a talisman for courage, justice and emotional balance. Comes in many colors lavender, red, yellow, white and honey. However, pure green is the most popular The term "Jade" actually refers to two different minerals - Jadeite and Nephrite. Jadeite is the most valuable with Imperial Jade the ultimate in value. .Nephrite is the least valuable and the colors are more mottled, gray/green and more subdued hues of green. |

These beads are from an estate and had a note in the box with them "dark jade". This is an unfinished strand of one large bead and the others are 11mm. Single strand is 16". Strung on cording, no clasp. Some of these beads have splashes of red which makes me wonder if they are, in fact, bloodstone instead of jade. | JD10165 $25 |
