We try to give you a true picture of our
jewelry by applying a
condition rating consistent with our Jewely
affiliations and experience.
If a condition borders between two, we usually
go with the lower.
We consider vintage jewelry to be at least
20 years old and antique
jewelry at least 50 years old. Collectible
jewelry can be anywhere in
between or contemporary.
If you have any questions, please let us
know prior to your purchase.
We always accept returns, however questions
first will eliminate your having to pay return
postage.

MINT CONDITION
Means item is new, in the original box with
tags and never worn.
This criteria is used infrequently but can
sometimes refer to "dead stock"
which is
new unworn jewelry that may be vintage or
antique and has not been sold i.e. "new"
old.
EXCELLENT
Means "excellent" condition with
no missing or yellowing stones, no enamel
or
metal chips or flakes, no stone breakage
or peeling and any repairs
that may have been done are virtually unnoticeable
i.e. any replaced stones match.
VERY GOOD
Means piece has very little wear, no missing
or yellowing stones as in above rating
but may have slight wear especially on back,
inside or backs of earrings.
GOOD
Means the piece is in wearable condition
but may have some
slight yellowing of stones and show moderate
wear but is still very wearable with
no missing stones.
FAIR
Means piece does have damage including missing,
dead or yellowing stones and
Still wearable but may need or repair or
minor restoration.
POOR
Means piece does have damage and stone loss
and is usually only good
for redesign or crafts.
Also please note that we do not do extensive repairs on jewelry and
if so we will always
include it in our description. We will occasionally
replace stones, but only in keeping with
the
design of the piece. If we have a piece that
may need extensive repair before being wearable,
we will
usually put it in our "supply/repair" gallery or describe fully in the item description.
We generally do not fully clean our jewelry
before offering it for sale, realizing that
some collectors
prefer an aged patina to their jewelry. We
do, however, perform
topical dusting and minor cleaning for photo
purposes.
